Yata is a fan-made companion app for Monster Hunter Wilds. We collect only what we need to run the app, keep your account secure, let you chat and party up with friends, and remember your hunter profile, builds and saved hunts.
Yata is operated by the Yata team. The site is available at yatagarasu.online. Yata is not affiliated with Capcom and does not represent Monster Hunter in any official capacity.
When you sign in with Discord, we receive your Discord user id, username, global name and avatar URL from Discord, and store them so you stay signed in and so other hunters can recognise you.
When you sign up with email, we store your email address and a salted hash of your password, never the password itself.
When you use the app, we store the things you create, your guildcard (display name, hunter id, weapon, portrait), saved builds, friends list, party membership, direct messages, LFG posts, hunt logs and matchmaking tickets.
If you enable notifications, we store the push subscription endpoint your browser or device gives us so the server can deliver alerts. We never see your device's notification content.
When you upload a guildcard portrait, the image goes to our object storage and we keep the URL on your guildcard row.
Our servers keep short-lived technical logs (request paths, status codes, errors, IP-derived rate-limit counters) so we can debug issues and stop abuse. These logs rotate automatically and are never sold or shared.
No third-party analytics, no advertising trackers, no fingerprinting SDKs, no location data, no contact list scraping, no payment information.
To sign you in, render your guildcard, sync your builds across devices, deliver friend requests, party invites, DMs and matchmaking results, and surface notifications you opt into. That is the entire list.
Your guildcard (display name, hunter id, weapon, hunter rank) is public, anyone with your hunter id can view it at /c/HUNTERID. Your builds are private until you explicitly share one to a friend over DM. Direct messages are visible only to the two participants. Party state is visible only to the party members.
We do not sell, rent or trade your data. We share it only with the infrastructure providers we need to run the service, our hosting and database provider, Discord (only when you choose Sign in with Discord), Apple and Google push services (only when you enable native push), and the standard web push services your browser uses.
Account data lives for as long as your account exists. Direct messages and matchmaking tickets older than a few weeks may be pruned. Server logs roll over automatically.
You can sign out at any time from the in-app Settings screen. You can disable push notifications from Settings or from your device's system settings. You can delete saved builds and unfriend other hunters from inside the app. To delete your entire account and associated data, message the Yata team via Discord and we will purge it within a reasonable timeframe.
Yata is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Connections to Yata are encrypted in transit (TLS). Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Sessions are signed and have a server-side expiry. No system is perfectly secure, so use a unique password and revoke any session you no longer recognise.
If we change this policy in any meaningful way we will update the date at the top and surface a notice on next sign-in.
